"My sister and I were raised in the Pohangina Valley and Sara sent me a bottle of your delicious Totara Reserve for my birthday. Here we are in Nelson drinking this wonderful drop!! We used to live about a mile north of the Totara Reserve (East side of valley) so this was a very special present for me. Well done with your venture." Jude Van Wichen Miller
"I am pleased to report that the 2006 Pinot Gris we had the other night had an impressive 'grip', a breadth of flavours, length and dry finish on my palate. Well done Pohangina Valley crew!" Denis Asher
Agust Andresson of Saudarkrokur, Iceland has visited NZ seven times.
He was given a bottle of our Pinot Gris in Iceland and when he opened
it he said, "the smell and taste was everything NZ and bought back all
the memories of people and places visited."
about Pohangina Valley Estate as a wedding venue and group outing...
With the grapevines and your lovely garden
as our back drop, your winery was a perfect venue for us to hold our wedding
service in February. Our friends thought
it was a fabulous idea to enjoy your wines while the service was
conducted. Your great organising and
friendly service made it a very stress free time for us. The perfect venue, the customer service, and
the wine made it a perfect day.
Fiona, thank you for all your help. John & Susan Woolnough
I would like to congratulate Pohangina Valley Estate
for organising a wonderful wine tasting event for our group. Everyone enjoyed
the short stopover, and some were reluctant to leave. The atmosphere was great,
not over the top but just right, everyone was able to sample the wines at their
leisure and enjoy the tasty nibbles provided. The visit fitted in well with our
afternoon bus trip to various sites around the greater Manawatu district,
including the wind farm, and a great prelude to our dinner at the Herb Farm. I
would have no hesitation in recommending the Pohangina Valley Estate as a
wonderful place to visit and taste the fruits of the vine. Des Costall - Ag Research
and about our Extra Virgin Olive Oil...
"It is beautiful and natural. I use it as a sauce for pasta." Bruce Cable
“Silky on the palate” Simon Wishnowsky
“The aroma, taste and colour are like a freshly cut hay paddock” Tracey Kitchen
"Last year we had an Italian exchange student staying with us. He was very disappointed with the standard of olive oil we got from the supermarket. So we took the opportunity to try Pohangina Valley olive oil which he really enjoyed and thought was as good as the olive oil from Italy." Ross Crawford
"As soon as you see the rich green colour pour from the bottle, all you want to do is smell and taste it's goodness and purity." Connie G - Wellington
