2009 Totara Reserve

Vintage -The 2009 vintage was the second year of production for this new wine in our range. Again the weather worked in our favour resulting in ripe, flavoursome fruit with good fruit balance. This year however produced a lower yield of this red grape than 2008. The premiere vintage of Totara Reserve sold out in a matter of months.

Appearance -
Clear medium red colour with a noticeable purple rim.

Aroma -
Deep blackberry, spice, ripe fruit spice notes.

Palate -
Flavoursome, clean, fresh with long red and blackberry flavours. Full bodied and well balanced for immediate enjoyment.

Cellaring -
The style of this wine suggests enjoying while young and fruity. Keep some for up to three to five years to see how the wine complexes with time.

Serving -
Best presented at 10C to 15C for overall pleasure.

Food Accompaniments -
All types of game dishes, flavoursome fish, pork and venison roasts and stews. Great with summer salads and starters as well.
