Vintage - The 2008 vintage was the best and earliest vintage yet. And for all the right reasons, all fruit was physiologically ripe. Chardonnay = 55% and Pinot Gris = 45%
Appearance - Bright medium gold colour with a tinge of green in the rim.
Aroma - Distinctive, ripe William Bon Chretien pear aromatics with melon notes and hints of white peaches and oak spice.
Palate - Flavoursome,
clean,
fresh fruit flavours with just a hint of fruit sweetness. Balanced oak
and acidity make for a fresh, vibrant wine.
Cellaring - Enjoy
this while young, but keep some for 3 - 5 years to see how the wine complexes with time.
Serving - Best presented at 10 - 15 C for overall enjoyment
Food Accompaniments - All
types of game bird dishes, meatier flavoured fish, salads and chicken
dishes. Other white meats will suit the wine as well. Notice to our Customers: The price increased to $38 per bottle as of 1 June 2010. Limited quantities are still available.
