Vintage - The 2008 vintage was a surprise package. It must have been the best and earliest vintage yet. Good ripening over a long hot summer.
Appearance - Bright medium gold colour with a tinge of green hue in the rim.
Aroma - Distinctive, ripe Williambon Cretian pear aromatics with hints of white peaches and spices.
Palate - Flavoursome, clean, fresh fruit flavours with just a hint of fruit sweetness. Long juicy pear flavours abound. Elegance and finesse show how this young Gris will develop.
Cellaring - Keep some for two to five years and see how the wine compexes with time. Pinot Gris are renowed for being slow developers.
Serving - Best presented at 10 - 15 C for overall enjoyment
Food Accompaniments - All sorts of game bird dishes, lighter glavoured fish, salads and chicken dishes. With age this wine will handle pork dishes happily.
